We know that concepts taught in school are much more likely to become lifelong skills if they are practised frequently at home. If you ever need any support with how to support your child with their learning at home, please do not hesitate to seek support from their class teacher. 

Nursery

 

Reading and sharing your library book with an adult each week.


Reading Read Write Inc. book at least 3 times a week (from Summer term) 

Reception

 

Reading and sharing your library book with an adult each week.


Reading your Read Write Inc. book at least 3 times a week.


Weekly practice of reading and spelling key words (from Spring).

Daily practice of the phonic sounds with the Speed Sound booklet. 

Key Stage 1

 

Read your Oxford Reading Tree book at least 3 times a week – ideally to and adult – to be in with a chance of being the weekly ‘Rocket Reader.’

Read and share your library book with an adult each week.

Daily practice of taught phonic sounds with the Speed Sound booklet. 

Use Sir Linkalot to practise your current spelling bundle. 

Use Times Table Rocks Stars to practise times tables. 

Counting in 2s, 5s and 10s weekly.  

Key Stage 2

 

Read your Accelerated Reader book at least 3 times a week- ideally to an adult – to help you achieve your target.

Use Sir Linkalot to practise your current spelling bundle. 

Use Times Table Rocks Stars to practise times tables.
